Kenmore Ice Maker

Here's the culprit.  A google search on the part number has given  some links to replacement parts and some  dialog that may help with troubleshooting.  Service 106 2198597

    Thanks for the reply and interest. I have a icemaker that continually frost's up and doesn't release the ice cubes. I believe it to be a bigger problem with the fridge itself. I think the defrost cycle is not working as well as it should. When I set the freezer at its highest (warmest) temperature all the food is way too frozen. Rock hard ice cream that needs to be left out prior to eating or even scooping. I would need power tools to get out any ice cream. This combined with whatever minerals that seem to get deposited within the ice tray from the water seem to make the ice tray less smooth for releasing the ice cubes. I need to change my settings on the blog so I can get notification on responses so I can be more prompt with my replies.
